June was another whirlwind! Pride month was a success, I’d like to report. Some of the favorite things I read were Father Nathan Monk’s essayings on Pride and scripture. You can find them here on Substack. He talks about how the word “homosexual” never appeared in the Bible until 1946. (There’s a movie 1946 also that talks about the same topic.) My church growing up was accepting of gay and lesbian folks. They fought hard within the Presbytery to change the rules, and it took over 20 years to do so!
Other things happening in my sphere is a lot of gardening. I’ve been trying to get new things planted every day. We’ve been able to keep things alive thus far. It’s a big win for me! I’ll try to post some pictures of my plants soon.
